  • JUST OKAY - 2007 Lexus ES 350

This car is ----JUST OKAY---- This is my first Lexus and probably my last. Lexus simply cannot be compared to BMW, Mercedes, or Infiniti. Lexus simply lacks the technology, built quality, and reliability of the other companies. Oil changes are expensive ($100+) and not to mention the 15000 mile tune up will cost owners ($300+) then again at 30000. Problems: 3 out of the 4 Windows have gone off track, driver door will not auto lock or open (key sensor is broken). And steering wheel leather if falling apart. Transmission is terrible, tooooo much lag when you push the accelerator. If you are looking for a family car for long trips, this is the car for you. MAKE SURE YOU TEST DRIVE FIRST!!

Hash ride over bumps. Rear end will leave the ground after hitting bumps on curved highway ramps. Poor interior quality: some defects that Lexus wont fix. Transmission problems - misses gears usually between 3rd and 4th. Poor interior lighting. Limited storage and cup holders. Absolutely horrible seat cushioning. Cant see the wiper stalk while driving. Fair stereo. Car has rattles from day one.

  • Lexus or over-priced Camry? - 2007 Lexus ES 350

Smooth, strong engine. Transmission sluggish. Nice fit & finish. Competent ride, marginal handling and braking, very light steering. Speedometer error, reads high, about 10-12%, true fuel mileage is less than indicated. Significant tire noise on rough surface roads is not "Lexus quiet." Paint is very soft, it chips and scratches easily. Not comfortable for most people over 6 tall, especially the driver seat, marginal headroom. The more you look at the interior the cheaper it appears such as door panels, carpet, glove box, dash. Dealer and Lexus support not impressive. Read the Privacy Policy, Lexus may share your personal info including SSN with anyone. Sold the car after 9 mo.

  • Not totally happy - 2007 Lexus ES 350

I feel that the car is good but not great. The seats are not very comfortable, the stereo does not sound very good and the voice recognition does not work well. My main complaint is that there is a rattle or creaking from the dashboard. On the plus side, the car has great forward visibility and gets great mileage.

  • This car is all over the place.... - 2007 Lexus ES 350

Bought the car in 06. Needless to say Im very disappointed. The car has a nice looking exterior, great stereo and terrific gas miles (26 plus). That is where it ends. Since the first month I noticed paint chipping and scratches. I thought is was bad road luck. Then more started appearing along with blotching. I barely drive the car and never on dirt roads. Its garage kept. I have a Hyundai with 100k that gets driven every day and no front chips or scratches. The seats are very uncomfortable and feel like your sitting in a hole. I have always had rattles in dash and under carriage and door seat position buttons have always had problems and now dont work. Plus poor int lite + button design.

  • First year lemon - 2007 Lexus ES 350

I love my car but hate its electrical system. I have had a number of defects with this cars electronics and of course they have all occurred after the warrantee has ended. Lexus charges $150 just to diagnosis the problem. On one occasion the issue was a loose wire which feed all of the sounds the care made. sure enough plug it in and my car was fixed but i was down the diagnostic charge. Recently my car had the air bag light go on. I received an estimate for $8700. A bit hi since my car is worth 11K at this point. My local mechanic fixed the issue for $500.

  • Reliable but just ok - 2007 Lexus ES 350

I owned an ES 300 from the mid 90s and loved it. I have owned an ES 350 for 6 months and am less excited about it. The seats are uncomfortable and it feels very small for a person who is over six feet tall. Having said this, I think it will be a very reliable car, because I do believe Lexus is all about quality.

  • Overpriced Toyota - 2007 Lexus ES 350

Traded in 01 Merc E class. The Lexus rides very smoothly but understeers severely and feels boaty on curves. The ruby red paint quality is pitiful with the slightest impact even with such items as cardboard or plastic scratching the paint surface. The car was supposed to be a Lexus CPO but came with several problems including warped front brake rotors, dead batteries in key fob, floor board shimmy, unbalanced wheels and paint colored wax covering prior owners scratches which washed off during the first car wash. CPO may only be worth the warranty, the rest is a gimmick.

  • Tranny problems - 2007 Lexus ES 350
    By -

I purchased a new ES in 06/07. At 500 miles the tranny froze. It took about 3 months to get a new replacement car. The new ES still misses the shifts between 2nd & 3rd gear. There is NO FIX - this is a manufacturing defect with the tranny. I cant wait to get rid of it.
